National Institute of Design NID has announced update about DAT prelims result on official website.

NID Design Aptitude Test is a means through which aspirants are shortlisted for admission in UG and PG design courses offered at the prestigious National Institute of Design (NID) campuses. Candidates need to clear two NID admission tests in order to be eligible for admission in Bachelor of Design (BDes) and Master of Design (MDes) courses offered at its campuses.
Earlier, NID offered admission for its five campuses through NID entrance exam. In 2019, two more NID campuses, that is, NID Bhopal and NID Jorhat were added to the list wherein admission was offered in GDPD course on the basis of NID admission test.
Initially, NID offered Bachelor of Design (BDes), Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) and Master of Design (MDes) courses at its campuses. However, from 2020 onwards the new NID campuses (i.e., NID Andhra Pradesh, NID Madhya Pradesh NID Haryana and NID Assam) which offered GDPD courses to students also started offering BDes degree programmes based on their performance in NID Entrance Exam.
NID DAT 2021 has been conducted on March 14 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. As per the feedback shared by students, NID Entrance Exam for BDes was easy to moderate. There were some tricky questions in the exam. However, as compared to previous years, the exam was easy. The design entrance exam tested the creative abilities possessed by aspirants to the core.
NID admission test scores are accepted by all the NID campuses. On the basis of NID entrance test candidates can secure admission in UG and PG courses offered at seven NID campuses. Earlier, only five NID campuses accepted NID admission test scores but last year two more NIDs were added to the list.
